Since 1997,
Mike has specialized in working with adoptive families doing home
studies for domestic and international adoptions as well as home
studies for Americans living abroad. As a Social Worker and Registered Counselor in
the state of Washington, Mike has extensive experience providing
individual and family therapy for families preparing for, and adjusting
to, the process of adoption.
Mike travels extensively to meet with families seeking to adopt. His work takes him from Bellingham to Seattle to Olympia and further south in to Oregon west of the Cascades. On a monthly basis he also travels east of the mountains to meet with families in Ellensburg, Yakima, the Tri-Cities, Spokane and points in between.
He holds a Masters
of Social Work degree from the University of Washington with twenty-five
years experience working with children and families including working
for the State of Washington Division of Children & Family Services
as a Child Protective Services & Child Welfare Services Social
Worker and as a Child Protective Services & Child Welfare Services
Adolescent and Adoption Social Worker Supervisor.
